Andrea Bailey
I am a narrative coach with 30 years of experience in healthcare as a registered nurse, risk manager, and leader.
My Journey
I grew up in Burnsville, Minnesota, and from an early age, I knew I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. That passion led me to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, launching a career in healthcare that has spanned more than 30 years. As a registered nurse, I’ve worked in both hospital settings and home hospice care, witnessing firsthand the profound impact of compassionate, patient-centered support.
Beyond direct patient care, I spent over 15 years in healthcare safety and risk management, working within health systems and the medical device industry to create safer, more effective environments for patients and providers alike. I also stepped into leadership and management roles, spending over a decade guiding teams and navigating the ever-evolving healthcare landscape. Along the way, I earned a Master’s in Healthcare Administration to deepen my understanding of systems-level change.
But life, as I’ve learned, is full of transformations. At 19, I embraced my identity as a lesbian, a pivotal moment that shaped my journey of authenticity. Over the years, I’ve navigated profound changes—the loss of a parent, personal health challenges, and a career shift that ultimately led me to where I am today. After experiencing a layoff, I found myself at a crossroads, ready to step into something new: a career that aligns with my values and allows me to collaborate with others in meaningful ways.
That journey brought me to coaching. As a student with Learning Journeys International School of Coaching, I’ve discovered how essential coaching is in creating a life of purpose—one lived with clarity, authenticity, and alignment. Through my own experiences of transformation, I know firsthand how powerful it is to have the right support when navigating change. Now, I’m here to offer that same support to others, helping them unlock their potential, embrace their own evolution, and create a life that truly reflects who they are.
